Applications have opened for Brand Licensing Europe’s (BLE) 2027 Retail Mentoring Programme (RMP), offering UK retailers free access to specialist training, industry contacts and hands-on experience to strengthen their brand licensing capabilities. The initiative aims to equip participants with the knowledge and confidence needed to manage the licensing process effectively.
Programme Structure and Components
The 100-place programme guides retailers through the entire licensing journey, from identifying suitable brands and evaluating brand pitches to understanding licence agreements and consumer trends. Participants will also learn how to develop successful product ranges and establish connections with brand owners, agents, manufacturers and fellow retailers.
It commences in January 2027 and concludes at Brand Licensing Europe, where delegates gain practical experience and network with hundreds of brand owners and agents representing thousands of license-ready brands. RMP participants receive VIP access to the event, along with personalized support to identify relevant brands and schedule meetings in advance.
The curriculum includes an introductory session tailored to each delegate’s experience, role and product category, plus tickets to the Licensing for Retail Conference in April 2027 and the Licensing for Retail Seminar and Workshop in September 2027. Delegates also spend a day working alongside a leading brand owner or licensing agent, with last year’s partners including CAA Brand Management, Hasbro and SEGA Europe.
