Vinted Go reported that its Rescued Value pilot has already placed more than 100,000 undeliverable packages with new owners across ten European markets.
The logistics arm of the Vinted Group, founded in 2022, moves millions of secondhand items daily through a pan-European delivery network.
A small share of shipments cannot be delivered or returned after multiple attempts, often because of uncollected parcels, damaged labels, failed returns, or operational glitches.
Vytautas Atkočaitis, CEO of Vinted Go, stated that in a very small number of cases, parcels cannot be delivered or returned despite multiple delivery attempts. Buyers can request a refund if their parcel cannot be delivered, and sellers are compensated if their item cannot be returned to them.
Most carriers either discard such parcels or sell them in bulk, but Vinted Go chose to explore a different route that can give the items a second life.
Under the Rescued Value program, undeliverable items are relisted on Vinted through a dedicated account, available to shoppers in France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Germany, Austria and Luxembourg.
Vytautas Atkočaitis said that giving these items a second life is more complicated and expensive from an operational standpoint than traditional disposal methods. The revenue from the account helps Vinted Go cover the operational costs of collecting, processing, and reselling the items.
The software supporting Rescued Value also enables partner charities to list donated goods on Vinted at scale, a capability that the company says is in demand among nonprofit collaborators.
Vytautas Atkočaitis added that their priority will always be to successfully deliver packages to recipients or return them to sellers, and this initiative affects only a very small portion of their total package volume.
Pilot Launch and Early Results
The Rescued Value pilot began in November 2025. It directs items that could not be delivered or returned to a special Vinted storefront, giving them a chance to be sold again.
