Perelló is adding five ambient pantry items to its UK line-up, aiming to bring more traditional Spanish flavors to British homes. The expansion comes as UK shoppers show increasing curiosity about authentic Mediterranean ingredients, and the brand hopes the new products will meet that demand.
New Spanish pantry items arrive
The expanded range includes chopped tomatoes, a classic tomato sauce, a piquillo-pepper sofrito, a smoky spicy sauce, and flame-roasted peppers. All of the items are positioned as ready-to-use ingredients that can be dropped into a pan or pot for quick meals without the need for additional chopping or seasoning.
The label highlights that the chopped tomatoes are made from pera tomatoes harvested in Andalucía and processed within 24 hours, preserving freshness. This rapid processing helps lock in the bright, tangy flavor that is characteristic of the region’s fresh produce.
Launch partners expand reach
Listings with Ocado will make the items available to shoppers across the country, while Booths will carry the range in its northern England stores. By partnering with both a major online grocer and a regional high-street chain, the brand secures coverage in urban and suburban markets alike.
Three sauces join the line-up: a traditional Spanish tomato sauce, a piquillo-pepper and garlic sofrito, and a smoky, spicy sauce inspired by salsa brava. Each sauce is formulated to deliver the depth of flavor that home cooks expect from a pantry staple, yet it remains convenient enough for a weeknight dinner.
The pepper product, marketed as Lamuyo, features flame-roasted peppers preserved in their own juices. This method keeps the peppers tender while allowing the natural smoky taste to shine through.
Founder outlines growth strategy
Founder Monika Linton said the brand has built a strong following for its Gordal olives and is now extending that appeal with a broader selection of Spanish staples. She noted that the olives have become a recognizable entry point for consumers discovering the brand’s other offerings.
She added that the new supermarket listings give more consumers the chance to discover authentic Spanish flavors in everyday cooking. The expanded shelf presence is intended to encourage trial among shoppers who may have previously only encountered the brand in specialty stores.
